The Suntec Singapore Convention and Exhibition Centre, often known simply as Suntec, is a convention centre located in the Central Area of Singapore, a convenient 20-minute ride from Changi International Airport.  Suntec Singapore has acquired a strong reputation as Asia’s preferred and most awarded international venue as well as global recognition as the World’s Leading Meetings & Conference Centre by World Travel Awards.

Suntec implemented sustainable features in their building during the modernisation project in 2012, to play their part in conserving the environment, this optimises the running of the Centre as well as the reduction of the carbon footprint.

Suntec Singapore understands that Environmental, Social & Governance (ESG) is vital to them as an organisation. As ‘The Preferred Place to Meet’, they operate business ethically, bearing in mind the need for environmental sustainability and enriching the lives of the local community.

These  philosophies guided us in our decision to hold the 18th World Congress of Anaesthesiologists (WCA2024), taking place from 3 – 7 March 2024. 

TRAVEL INFORMATION

Travelling from the Airport

Singapore Changi Airport is an award-winning airport and world-class aviation hub that offers visitors a variety of attractions spread across its four terminals and Jewel Changi. You can get to Suntec Singapore from Changi Airport by Taxi / Private Hire, City Shuttle, Mass Rapid Transit (MRT) Bus.

Travelling by Taxi

To get to Suntec Singapore via taxi or private hires, alight at the driveway of our Centre in front of The Big Picture on Level 1. When departing Suntec Singapore via taxi, proceed to the taxi stand outside H&M on the West Wing.

Travelling by Bus

Board bus 36 from any terminal and alight Opposite Suntec Convention Centre (02159). It takes around 60 minutes and costs around $2.70 by cash or $1.94 with EZ-Link (transport card). For Terminals 1, 2 and 3: Bus stops are located at the basement bus bays. For Terminal 4: The bus stop is next to Car Park 4B.

Walking

Suntec Singapore is located in the heart of the city and well connected to various shopping malls, hotels as well as public transport links. Covered walkways / underground connectors span out from Suntec Singapore

Sustainability Obligations

Suntec collect and recycle almost 8,000 litres of cooking oil per year into biodiesel fuel. Induction cooking is the most energy-efficient way of cooking, nearly 20% more efficient than any other electric cooktop and twice as efficient as cooking with gas.

The LED lights are 80% more energy-efficient than traditional halogen lights. This represents savings of 1.46 million kWh annually, which is equivalent to powering 470 apartments for a year.

The new chiller plant is 40% more efficient, which represents estimated energy savings of 18.3 million kWh per year.

Your Health And Safety Is Our Priority

Suntec have developed enhanced cleaning and hygiene protocols for every aspect of their business. The SG Clean Managers monitor the implementation of the safety measures and ensures safety and hygiene standards are maintained.

Safety First

Designated hand sanitiser stations (halal) are provided throughout the centre including at all entrances and exits

Safe Facilities

Good hygiene practices are encouraged and all washrooms feature contactless facilities to ensure a safer experience

Safe Touch Points

All high-touch points are treated with anti-viral coatings with regular inspections and tests conducted to ensure active disinfection

Air Cleansing

Air quality throughout the centre is enhanced with regular air filter changes, use of UV-C lamps and state-of-the-art air conditioning controls to maintain optimum standards

Enhanced Cleaning

All furniture, linen and equipment are routinely sanitised as part of our standard operating procedures

Safe Dining

All F&B items are served in-line with prevailing safe management measures to promote safe dining
